What is my Plesk username and password?
Your Plesk username and password were given to you in-class. Your username is simply your domain name (example: silentweb.ca), your password is the password that you created when you registered your account.
What is Plesk?
Plesk is a piece of software installed on my servers which allows you (the domain administrator) login and manage many aspects of your domain name, such as e-mail accounts, web-statistics, sub-domains and more.
Why can I not log into Plesk?
Perhaps your username and password are incorrect or your web-browser does not support cookies. Please feel free to contact me (msimpson@silentweb.ca) and I can help you resolve the problem.
Can I keep my domain name after your course?
Of course you can. St. Lawrence College has paid for 12 months of service for your web-hosting. In or around August I will send you an invoice (due mid-September) for approximately $64.95 +GST to renew your hosting service for another year.
If you do not wish to keep your hosting, no problem at all... just let us know. If you wish you change your domain name at this time... again, not a problem, just let us know.
For this reason it is important to keep your e-mail address up to date with me. I send all invoices via e-mail.
